DIY: Wedding Invitation Ornament

You can make this as a wedding gift or as a one year anniversary gift for the wedding couple.

This would also make a wonderful gift for a baby shower or bridal shower - especially of the baby arrives in the winter or if it's a winter wedding.

Materials Needed:

  • Invitation
  • Paper Slicer or scissors & ruler
  • Fillable ornament
  • Ribbon
  • Pen

Instructions:

Cut the invitation into 1/4 inch strips.  Curl the strips around the pen and hold it there for a few seconds to ensure that the strips curl.  Fill the ornament with the curled invitation strips. Close the ornament and decorate with the ribbon

"On Sunday, January 29th, the 124-year-old church turned concert and event venue will open its doors for the second showcase in which local wedding planners, caterers, bakeries, photographers and musicians team up to offer six different “mini-weddings.” Last August the center paired with Kickstand Events to put together the inaugural show, allowing each design team to take on an area of BAC and let their imaginations run wild. From peacock-themed cakes and centerpieces to French royalty-inspired courtyards, the creations were breath-taking." - via encorepub.com

Choosing Wedding Colors: SILVER and BLACK Done Beautifully

This is a beautiful blacka nd silver wedding with elegant touches of lace that will serve as a great resource of inspiration

Guests walked down aisles line with white rose petals and black candles that lead to their seats on black Louis Ghost chairs.

The black Louis Ghost chairs were also used in the reception and paired with tables that had dark silver linen.  The tables were adorned with black glass with lace trims, black candles, and lime green and white floral arrangements.

A wedding in black can quickly become over bearing and gloomy.  This wedding was black done beautifully.

Baby Shower Theme: Bears & Lambs (Baby Wears Prada)

This was a beautiful plum and magenta baby shower with bite sized sprinkles of couture!

The letter press invitation was nestled in an actual custom fabric diaper made complete with a studded diaper pin.  This was the perfect way to let guests know that they should expect bite sized bits of couture at this baby shower.
